When you first wake up in the morning, your conversation with God should not be about you.
Your mind and heart should be fixed, focused on Him, all He is, all that is in Him.
God wants to be acknowledged as your God;
in His greatness,
the Alpha & Omega
Elohim (the One and only - who designed, created and formed the universe.)
The All Existent One:
Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent.
The God of All.
That's your focus before you get your coffee.
I hear people saying that they have their early morning prayer or devotional after they get up.
When I move my left leg in the morning when I wake up, I am reminded that I am only able through and because of Him (the Potter, Jehovah-Makkeh); that He just woke me up from a sleep that I did not have to awaken from. I am reminded that though I may have had trouble breathing as I was falling asleep, that He, the God that made me (Jehovah Rophi/Jehovah Rapha, my Healer), also created the universe, took a moment in His time to awaken me.
When I open my eyes, I am reminded that it is not I who made me who I am.
(Jehovah T'sui - My Strength, My Reedemer)
The One who never sleeps.
Adonai, the Lord My Shield, God, Jehovah,
The Great I Am.
My Jehovah Roi who sees all
deserves my Reverence.
So to El Elyon, the Most High, the Most Holy God,
to El Shaddai, my All Sufficient One,
I sing praises and I worship You every morning when I rise.
