“And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.” Joel 2:25
The YEARS that were stolen from you…
Think back. What happened when you initially got distracted from your purpose and you started doing other things; convincingly, encouraging yourself that you’d “get back” to it, in just a minute. Or you tried to stay on track; however, it seemed no matter what you’d do you were buffeted on all sides.
You’d take two steps and fall back three. But you kept striving toward the mark. Kept pressing in, but it seemed you could never really get where you ‘thought’ you were supposed to be, or going.
And now years have passed. You’re older, tireder (if there is such a word), and discouraged.
You still feel the call and the purpose but you are not as energetic toward accomplishing or completing the task as you used to be. And as you look back you know that if you’d done this 10, 20, even 30 years ago, look how far you’d be right now. Look at what could have been accomplished, by now.
It’s not that you weren’t doing anything. You busied yourself in the things of God. You even got distracted from your own call to help others go forward. And when you see them, you see the blessings, the Hand of God, on them; and you compare where you could be now, where your ministry would be now; “if only”.
But these YEARS were STOLEN.
For, the Word of God tells us that the Northern Army is God’s Army that He’s sent against you. For whatever reason on your part, the Northern Army was sent to eat up everything in your life.
Some of your things were lost. Some were even stolen; important things that you invested much of your life into.
You’re wondering to yourself right now, “how does she know all this about me?” And I’ll tell you, “first-hand knowledge”. I spent many years walking in circles in the wilderness, for my own reasons, yet to be explained to you in the future. But I know what I’m talking about because I met that Northern Army head on, and lost almost everything that I owned; except life. God spared my life and the life of my family. Yet the hardship, pain and suffering (tribulation) worked in me the patience to endure and come out of the wilderness victoriously!
It seems almost fruitless to try to start something that should have been started 30 years ago, doesn’t it?
You say to yourself, “It’s the endtime! What possible effect can the purpose on my life make at this point in time?”
But you still feel that purpose.
You still feel that call.
Maybe it was not your time. Maybe it was not your turn because you needed to learn from your mistakes. Or maybe you missed your turn.
Whatever the reason, your time has come back around again!
The Lord said, He has restored to you and to me, the YEARS that the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, (the locust) hath eaten; My great army which I sent among you. Joel 2:25
“Years” pertain to dreams, vision, and purpose. Though the hours of time are not going to go in reverse for you; what was purposed in you at birth, though it may appear that you are too old, too frail, or too much time has been lost, too many messes have been made; God will make a way to get you where you need to be swiftly and assuredly to catch up with His Plan in your purpose.
God, the Author of Time, can do what He wills (chooses) with it. And in your case, He says it pleases Him to “restore” the years…time….and avail to you new opportunity to accomplish that that He originally purposed in you to will and to do.
You don’t have to concern yourself with “how” He’s going to do all this in such a short time. Your job is to continue, press in and move with the Lord as you walk in your purpose.
God is responsible to make your pathway clear, to provide provision for the vision, and to work everything for good to those who love Him and are called unto His purpose.
It’s His Plan. It’s up to you now, to keep up with Him in your purpose.
The years of dreams, vision and purpose have been restored to you. Now, what are you going to do with them?
Everyday holds a blessing. You must receive it in order to walk in it.
Take Your Blessing and walk forward!
